The Balancing Rainbow Conceptual Framework

The Balancing Rainbow Conceptual Framework was developed and written by Dr. Evan Dean, Ms. Elizabeth Boresow, Dr. Keenan Stump and Dr. Matt Braun. This conceptual framework is meant to guide services and supports for professionals who work with adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).  The model was informed by people with ASD (through conversations with people with ASD and autobiographical texts) as well as scholarly literature. In this model, the primary consideration are the strengths and interests of the person we are serving.  These considerations are the starting point with assessment and the focus of intervention.
